"Who is Responsible for the Seven Years of my Life"?

Well, if you were at Gitmo, certainly not the US. As more evidence emerges of the horrific abuses committed as part of the global “war on terror”, this seems to be the approach taken by the US government according to this article by Jane Perlez, Raymond Bonne and Salman Masood in today’s NY Times, describing the plight of Muhammad Saad Iqbal, who made the mistake of boasting of skills he apparently didn’t posses to the wrong people. Let’s hope that soon-to-be President Obama is serious about his promises to close down Gitmo.
