New York Times reports that Carla Del Ponte probable successor as the ICTY Prosecutor is Serge Brammertz. I believe that Serge Brammertz has already been asked whether he wants to assume the position and that he has accepted. Two weeks ago the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued a press release that Serge Brammertz had resigned from the ICC. Serge Brammertz has already been on leave from the ICC since January 11, 2006 when the UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan appointed him head of the International Investigation Commission into the murder of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafiq Hariri.
