Torkel Opsahl Academic EPublisher

Our readers might be interested in the fact that a new publisher, Torkel Opsahl Academic EPublisher (TOAEP), has been established that will focus on publications in international criminal and international humanitarian law. Here is a short description.

We are delighted to announce that the Torkel Opsahl Academic EPublisher (TOAEP) has been established and is now operational: http://www.fichl.org/toaep/. It is an independent academic publisher of the Forum for International Criminal and Humanitarian Law (FICHL, see http://www.fichl.org/). The publisher is named after late Professor Torkel Opsahl (1931-1993), a leading Nordic international lawyer. Professor Andreas Zimmermann, Professor Kai Ambos, Professor Asbjørn Eide, and Assistant Professor CHEAH Wui Ling are among the editors and scientific advisers of the publisher. Printed versions of its books can be bought through http://www.amazon.co.uk in the normal way. Identical e-book versions can be read, downloaded or printed without any cost through http://www.fichl.org/publication-series/. The TOAEP is firmly committed to high quality and sustainable open access publication in international law and policy.

The TOAEP also publishes the FICHL Policy Brief Series (http://www.fichl.org/policy-brief-series/) and the FICHL Occasional Paper Series (http://www.fichl.org/occasional-paper-series/).

With these contributions, the TOAEP hopes to enrich and broaden the discourse community in international criminal and humanitarian law.

Thanks to Alf Butenschøn Skre, FICHL Senior Editorial Assistant and Executive Adviser, for drawing our attention to this.
