The international law related blogosphere is expanding: the Centre for Criminal Justice and Human Rights of the Faculty of Law, University College Cork in Ireland has started its own Blog. The Centre is relatively young (established in 2006) and sees as its main objectives a contribution on national and international debates on questions concerning the study of crime, justice and human rights, “through the promotion of cutting edge interdisciplinary research, innovative programmes of legal education and training, and key partnerships with Government, statutory bodies, civil society organisations worldwide.” The following is a description of the Blog:
As part of the Blog we propose to publicise and, where appropriate, discuss national, comparative and international law in both criminal justice and human rights as well as relating to the intersections between the two.
We at International Law Observer welcome the CCJHR Blog to the blogging community.
