The Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law in Heidelberg offers a doctoral research position within the area of international law starting from 1 May 2008 or later. The doctoral position is part of the interdisciplinary programme of the new ‘Max Planck Research School on Retaliation, Mediation, Punishment (IMPRS-REMEP)’. Applicants should hold a law degree from a German university or an equivalent university abroad, submit a substantive proposal for a dissertation topic linked to the research agenda of the IMPRS-REMEP and also have a solid proficiency in the English language.
